Moscow Exchange changes MICEX name to MOEX Russia Index

MOSCOW, Nov 27 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Exchange has changed the name of the MICEX index into the MOEX Russia Index, the bourse said in a statement on Monday.

The bourse thinks that the change will increase brand awareness and its value, as well as the perception integrity of the Moscow Exchange and the Russian financial market.

The RTS index will retain its name.

The Moscow Exchange has also changed the methodology of calculation of its indices, which increases requirements for liquidity of shares that comprise them.
